Help give these precious beings a happy life and keep the Majorero race alive! For a sum of 500/400/300/200/100€ a year (or any other amount you wish to donate), you can adopt your donkey and we'll keep you posted about what's going on in his/her life. Your donation will help keep our donkeys fed and healthy. Due to the ongoing drought that we have had for the past five years, we have to buy a lot of additional fodder. (Formerly, we were able to cut our own fodder on our pieces of land). Including the yearly visit by the vet (vaccination, etc.), maintaining a donkey costs 70€ a month.
This is also a lovely gift you can order for an animal-loving friend, or for someone who has everything.

Visit Us!
We are based on El Hierro in the Canary Islands. In keeping with tradition, our donkeys live by the coast in winter and in the cooler areas of the hills in summer. You can make friends with them against the beautiful backdrop of the blue Atlantic Ocean during winter months or in the lush green hillsides, where it is cooler in summer. We will show you how to gently walk them around the land, groom them and feed them. For booking details please use the above link.
Also, you can come and work with us as a farm helper via the work and travel programmes "WWOOF" and "Workaway".
